Remodel Week 4

(June 27 - July 3)

While the sanctuary remodel continued, over 80 members of Grace gathered on June 27th for the Pledge Celebration Dinner and enjoyed great food, wonderful music by the choir and soloists, and a great presentation.  This week's construction involved creating a new door opening into the office and two large cutouts into the floor for supports of the new large door into the sanctuary.  The organ was safely detached from the platform and now can be moved out of the way.  The old openings where the sacristy outside door and air handler panel were located are now sealed.  A final glimpse of the brick wall reminds us that although it will be covered, our past is still there and making way for a new chancel wall that is bright and solid with the new stone center wall.  We must never forget our past, but be just as excited of the future this sanctuary remodel will bring.  This is an exciting time at Grace and we have truly been blessed.
